Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data PearLabs collects through this website, why we process it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are

PearLabs is the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through this website.

PearLabs, SARL-S
63 Rue Joseph Philippart, L-4845 Rodange, Luxembourg

RCS/VAT number: [RCS number — to be added].

What data we collect

Today, the only personal data we collect through this site is what you submit via the contact form: your name, email address, and message. We do not use any analytics or tracking tools, so we do not collect page views, device information, or browsing behaviour.

Legal basis for processing

We process contact-form data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing this website, per Article 6 of the GDPR.

Why we process your data

We use the data you submit to respond to your project inquiry and to operate and secure the website. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

Third-party processors

The contact form and website configurator are processed by Resend, our transactional email provider — submitting either form sends your details (name, email, and your message or project configuration) to our server, which forwards them to Resend for delivery to our inbox and, for the configurator, a confirmation email back to you. See Resend's Privacy Policy at https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy for details. Payments for website build checkout are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor — checkout happens on Stripe's own hosted page, so our servers never receive or store your raw card details. Before you reach that page, the short project intake form (your name, email, and a brief description of your project) is submitted to our own server, which forwards it to Stripe as part of the payment record — as the checkout email and as payment metadata — so we do not store this information in our own database. See Stripe's Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy for details. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

International data transfers

If any service provider named above is located outside the European Economic Area, we will ensure the transfer is covered by an appropriate safeguard, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

Contact form submissions are retained for 3 years from your last contact with us, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner. Checkout intake details (name, email, and project description) are not retained in our own systems — they are held only long enough to create the Stripe Checkout Session, then retained by Stripe as part of the payment record, per Stripe's own retention policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure. Ask us to delete your personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
  • Restriction. Ask us to limit how we use your data while a request is being resolved.
  • Portability. Request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection. Object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Luxembourg's data protection authority, the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD).
